Accessibility statement

The Finance People website should work for everyone: with a mouse, with only a keyboard, with a screen reader, on a small phone or with enlarged text. Creative professionals work in very different ways, and that goes for how they read a website too. That is why I aim for the WCAG 2.2 guidelines at level AA. On this page you can read what has been done, where the limits are and how to report a problem.

Goal

The aim for this accountant's website: WCAG 2.2 level AA

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for accessible websites. Finance People aims for version 2.2 at level AA. This is an aim, not a formal audit by an external party. If I missed something, I would like to hear about it.

Done

What has been done so far

Build

Built simply: no tracking on the Finance People site

The site loads no third party scripts and no tracking cookies, as explained in the privacy statement about your data. That keeps the pages fast and predictable, also for assistive software. The structure is clear: the sitemap with every page lists everything in one place, and the frequently asked questions about bookkeeping for creatives are expandable blocks that also work with a keyboard.

Waitlist

Accessibility of the 2027 waitlist form

Finance People is fully booked for 2026. If you are interested in 2027, sign up through the form for the 2027 waitlist. The form has clear labels, error messages in text (not only in colour) and works without a mouse. If filling it in does not work for you, simply send an email or WhatsApp message. That counts as signing up.

Limits

What is not perfect yet

I test the pages myself with a keyboard, with zoom and with a screen reader, but not with every assistive tool and every browser. Something may therefore work differently on your device than intended. Sources I link to, such as the Dutch Tax Administration or professional associations, are outside my control and may be less accessible. New pages, for example in the knowledge base, are checked before they go live. I update this statement when the site or the guidelines change. The most recent check was in October 2026.

Report

Reporting an accessibility problem

Stuck somewhere, or is part of the site hard to use with your assistive tool? Let me know at info@finance-people.nl or via WhatsApp on +31 6 15533374. Mention the page and what went wrong. Michiel reads messages himself and usually replies on WhatsApp within an hour. Want to get to know him first?
